Scheduling:

• We updated the top menu to eliminate drop-downs to make the system easier to use.
• We updated the Contacts tab of the Patient Registration card to speed up loading the card. Now, you only have to load the Contacts IF you want to add a Contact to the patient’s record.
• We are now saving which Dashboard View you were last on (by login per computer). This should speed up the ability to begin using the schedule, if you did not previously use the default view.
• We are now displaying the name of the Dashboard View directly above the calendar in the top-right corner.
• We have updated many of the grids inside Scheduling to allow for better filtering on the displayed data.
• We have added the Patient Photo to the Appointment mouseover.
• We have added the ability to start collecting more Insurance-related data. We now collect data regarding “Plan Maximum”, “Plan Start Date”, “Deductible”, “Co-Payment”, “Ortho Maximum”, and “Ortho Deductible”.

Reporting:

• Improvements to Daily Appointment List. You can now select which specific providers and/or resources that you want to include in the results.
• “Address” Information added to Patient Demographic Search.

Recall and Notes:

• Added Patient Registration access from inside Recall and Notes. If you click on a patient’s name in the top-right corner or on the grid, it will bring up that patient’s information.

Appointment Reminders:

• We have added the ability to add a “Special Message” to Appointment Reminders. Now, if you have multiple locations, you can add a message specifically for Location A.

General:

• Updates to the Patient Search box in the top-right corner. You can now see family members easily. There are also advanced search capabilities that have been added. In May, ICE will be attending two major conferences; The California Dental Association (CDA) Annual Session and The American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) Annual Session.

The CDA’s Annual Session is in Anaheim, California from May 3 – 5, 2012. ICE Health Systems’ Chief Technical Officer, Peter Hoven, will be attending the conference. Training of faculty and residents took place last week with members of the ICE team on site at the schools Trinidad campus. Live launch took place earlier this week with Student Clinics using ICE to manage Patient Appointments and Student Grading.

This is now the second university launch for ICE in 2012.

We are pleased to announce that another ICE upgrade was successfully completed by our team last night.

A number of the items included in last night’s upgrade were a result of client feedback. As always, we welcome all suggestions, comments and feedback from existing and prospective clients in order to ensure we continue to evolve and expand our system in a positive and efficient direction.

In addition to a number of new features, enhancements, refinements and bug fixes; there were 2 key changes that were included in this upgrade: a new module entitled ‘Practice Areas’ was created and a new App for scanning images into Imaging was installed.

• Local Imaging App designed to improve ICE/TWAIN/XRay Integration reliability. This will be required for Scanner integration.
• Making the “Rotate” icon in the top-right function “smoother”.

An update for the month of January on the animation front. This month the following animations were posted to the Animations module in ICE:
