Webcam Study Featured in ADEA’s December BDE

If you look in this months issue of Around the Dental Education Community on the American Dental Education Association’s (ADEA) Bulletin of Dental Education (BDE), you will find an article highlighting the webcam research study being conducted by the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

As we have noted in previous articles, the one-year study, “Evaluation of Effectiveness of a High Definition Webcam in Preclinical Dental Training” will examine the effectiveness of new training and instructional methodologies. The method of delivery for the study is the use of high-definition webcameras which instructors will use to teach preclinical dental skills.

Dr. Mark Genuis, the CEO of ICE Health Systems, is one of the investigators of the study and ICE Health Systems will be providing technological support for the duration of the study.

Read the full article as it appears on the ADEA’s Bulletin of Dental Education, or find full details of the study on the University’s News & Events section of their website.
